Stacey has taught Chemistry and AP Chemistry for over a decade in Merced, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Seattle. Currently she is working for her district as a Technology Integration Specialist focusing in part on NGSS. Previously, she served as the Science Department Co-Chair at Golden Valley High School and helped found her school’s Instructional Leadership Team, charged with empowering teachers with technology and excellent instructional practices. Stacey has presented at multiple conferences, including CUE Rockstar, Fall CUE, the Central California Math Project, and the California Science Teacher Association Conference where her session was selected by as a conference highlight. She has also been recognized with the Superintendent’s Award and Adjunct Science Professor of the Year. After college she left the “exciting” world of paint formulation and ran away to join the Peace Corps in West Africa and hasn’t looked back since.
